SOURCES SOUGHT-NEW CONTRACEPTIVE PRODUCTS NIH GUIDE, Volume 26, Number 40, December 19, 1997 P.T. National Institute of Child Health and Human Development The Contraceptive Development Branch of the Center for Population Research, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)is interested in receiving letters of interest regarding new or improved male or female contraceptives which are ready for clinical testing for possible safety, acceptability, and/or efficacy testing in our Contraceptive Clinical Trials Network (a network of nine clinical testing sites). Only reversible methods of contraception are being considered at this time. Candidate drugs or devices include but are not limited to chemical or physical barrier methods, hormonal contraceptives, and intrauterine devices. Interested organizations should submit a letter of interest which contains a detailed description of the product and summarized results of any preclinical or clinical testing. Letters of interest will be kept confidential. After initial screening, organizations with promising products will be contacted for further information.
