The National Institute on Drug Abuse is soliciting proposals from

qualified organizations having the capability to produce, store, and

distribute opioid peptides and related compounds.  Compounds will be

maintained in adequate amounts and purity and shipped as designated

by the NIDA.  Offeror must possess the equipment, facilities, and

extensive experience with solution phase peptide synthesis,

purification, and characterization of peptides in general and, in

particular, opioid peptides.  It is estimated that a five year

incrementally funded cost-reimbursement type (completion) contract

will be awarded with five one year options.

August 26, 1997, and may be accessed through the NIH Gopher and/or

include only the Work Statement, deliverable and reporting

submission and the initial review process, offerors comprising the

competitive range may be requested to provide additional

documentation to the Contracting Officer.

 

Response to this RFP will be due on or about October 10, 1997.  Any

responsible offeror may submit a proposal which will be considered by
