Human Microbiome Project RFA: Notice of Applicant Information Meeting

As part of the Roadmap 1.5 Human Microbiome Project, The  National Institutes of Health  has published three Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs):  Construction of a Reference Sequence Data Set for the Human Microbiome Project (U54) (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-RM-08-001.html), Human Microbiome Demonstration Projects (UH2/UH3) (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-RM-08-012.html) and Studies of the Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) of Human Microbiome Research (R01) (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-RM-08-006.html).  These FOAs address the goals of the HMP which are to create a technological and data research resource that will enable in-depth study of its variation  in relation to any of a number of relevant variables (e.g.,  genotype, disease, age, nutrition, medication and environment) and its influence on health and disease.  For more information about the program see http://nihroadmap.nih.gov/
