Purpose

This Notice updates PAR-11-022 to inform applicants who plan to submit applications for Centers for Agricultural Disease and Injury Research, Education, and Prevention (Ag Center) awards about the following:

• Application Receipt Date: December  2, 2011;

A sufficient number of high-quality center applications were received in FY2011 to allow NIOSH to award nine center applications. NIOSH committed all FY2011 program funds to support a broad-based extramural program of existing and new centers.

Currently, no additional funds are expected to be available for new or revised Ag Center applications under PAR-11-022 in FY2012. Consequently, NIOSH is announcing that new or revised Ag Center applications will not be accepted for the December 2, 2011 receipt date. Any new or revised Ag Center applications submitted for this receipt date will not be reviewed.

The next available receipt date is December 4, 2012. NIOSH will decide later in FY-12 whether this receipt date will be used. If NIOSH decides not to use it, an updated notice will be published which states this decision.
