Purpose

This Notice is to clarify under what conditions investigators in tenure-track positions are eligible to apply for the Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award in Tobacco Control Regulatory Research (K01).  Potential applicants who are in tenure-track positions are still eligible if, at the time of award, they have not been or are not currently the PD/PI on NIH research projects (R01), program projects (P01), center grants (P50), sub-projects of program projects (P01), sub-projects of center grants (P50), other career development awards (K–awards), or the equivalent.  Applicants must also meet all other eligibility criteria outlined in the FOA.
