Change in Page Limits for Applications in Response to PAR-07-157, “Mechanism for Time-Sensitive Research Opportunities (R01)”

Notice Number: NOT-MH-07-109

Key Dates
Release Date:  April 11, 2007
Application Receipt Dates(s): The 9th of each month

Issued by
National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), (http://www.nimh.nih.gov/)

The purpose of this notice is to change the page limits as listed under Section IV.6 of PAR-07-157, “Mechanism of Time-Sensitive Research Opportunities (R01).”

This section should read:

Items 2-5 of the PHS398 Research Plan component are limited to 25 pages.  All tables, graphs, figures, diagrams, and charts must be included within the 25-page limit.  Be succinct and remember that there is no requirement to use all 25 pages allotted to the Research Plan.  (Reminder:  while each section of the Research Plan component needs to be uploaded separately as a PDF attachment, applicants are encouraged to construct the Research Plan component as a single document, separating sections into distinct PDF attachments just before uploading the files. This approach will enable applicants to better monitor formatting requirements such as page limits. All attachments must be provided to NIH in PDF format, filenames must be included with no spaces or special characters, and a .pdf extension must be used.)

Applicants are reminded that applications for a given project are limited to a one-time submission under this FOA. Resubmissions (amended applications) may be submitted under the regular review cycle in response to the NIH Parent R01 FOA (http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-07-070.html) or other relevant R01 FOAs that accept applications under the standard submission dates.

All other aspects of this FOA remain the same.
