National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD)
The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) is sponsoring a technical assistance workshop for RFA-MD-11-004, NIMHD Science Education Initiative (R25) on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Masur Auditorium on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) main campus.
The purpose of this technical assistance workshop is to both highlight the advancement of science education at NIMHD and to facilitate the understanding of the Science Education Initiative funding opportunity announcement (FOA) that was released on February 18, 2011. Those interested in applying to this announcement should attend the full-day workshop from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Masur Auditorium, Building 10 (Clinical Center) on the main campus of the NIH.
Presenters at this meeting will include the representatives of the NIMHD Office of Scientific Programs, Office of Scientific Review, and Office of Grants Management. NIH and NIMHD staff will present on topics to include the grants making process, procedures for submission of a grant application, using the electronic SF-424 application process, the priority scientific core areas of the FOA, and the NIH review process.
