Purpose

On July 17, 2013, the NHLBI published Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) RFA-HL-14-001, "Centers for Advanced Diagnostics and Experimental Therapeutics in Lung Diseases Stage II." The purpose of this Notice is to amend the FOA to allow foreign components within applications. The following section of the FOA is revised accordingly:

Current language:

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

New language:

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

All other aspects of the FOA remain unchanged.
