Purpose

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute is publishing this Notice to remind potential applicants who plan to submit applications in response to the FOA: Maximizing the Scientific Value of the NHLBI Biologic Specimen Repository:  Scientific Opportunities  (R21) - https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-HL-12-004.html  that they are required to submit documentation confirming availability of biospecimens and data for the proposed research in the grant application.  Information on obtaining this documentation is available on the BioLINCC web site (https://biolincc.nhlbi.nih.gov).   The receipt dates for the FOA Maximizing the Scientific Value of the NHLBI Biologic Specimen Repository:  Scientific Opportunities  (R21) are May 4, 2012 for non-AIDS applications and August 17, 2012 for AIDS applications.
