The objective of RFA-DK-05-008 (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-DK-05-008.html) is to establish Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Centers for the purpose of phenotyping mouse models of diabetes and its complications, obesity, and related metabolic diseases or conditions.

The Executive Summary of the RFA indicates that applications from foreign institutions/organizations will be considered responsive, while Section III Eligibility Criteria states that only Domestic Institutions are eligible to develop an application for support. In this Notice, The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) provide clarification on the eligibility issue. Foreign institutions are not eligible to apply for support under RFA-DK-05-008. Only domestic institutions are eligible to apply for support under this RFA.

All other aspects of the RFA are unchanged.
