Prize Competitions/Challenges in Area of Drug Abuse and Addiction

Purpose

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) announces two Challenges/Prize Competitions for research and non-research communities, and encourages potential applicants-solvers to examine the announcements and to submit the proposals:

1) Help to find a way to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm from accidentally or intentionally swallowing too many pain prescription pills at the same time. Participate in NIDA Challenge “Propose New Ideas for Prescription Drugs Oral Overdose Protection” http://preventoverdose.challenge.gov/.

2) Using primary data sources relevant to substance use and abuse, create an infographic to inform and educate the general public in interesting, novel, and creative ways about prescription drug abuse dangers.
