The purpose of this notice is to announce the extension of the expiration date for two NIA funding opportunity announcements (FOAs):

• PA-05-036, Retirement Economics for the National Institute on Aging ; and
• PA-05-136, Testing Stem Cell Therapy in Mouse Models of Premature Aging.

PA-05-036, Retirement Economics for the National Institute on Aging includes multiple mechanisms (R01, R21, R03, P01).

• The R01 portion of this announcement will remain active through November 2, 2006. Beginning with the February 1, 2007 submission date, the R01 mechanism will transition to the electronic SF424 (R&R) format.
  
  
• The P01 portion of this announcement will still remain active through June 2, 2007. Beginning with the October 1, 2007 submission date the P01 mechanism will transition to the electronic SF 424 (R&R) format. This notice is an addendum to NOTICE-AG-06-002.
  
  
• Applicants interested in submitting R21 applications on these topics may do so using PA-06-236. (Applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov using SF424 (R&R) forms).
  
  
• Applicants interested in submitting R03 applications on these topics may do so using PA-06-235 (Applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov using SF424 (R&R) forms).

PA-05-136, Testing Stem Cell Therapy in Mouse Models of Premature Aging includes multiple mechanisms (R01 & R21).
