Effective with the August, 2009 submission dates and beyond, NIH is transitioning to electronic submission for Individual Fellowship applications. The new SF424 (R&R) Individual Fellowship Application Guide for use by NIH and AHRQ applicants is posted on the SF424 (R&R) Application and Electronic Submission Information page. Electronic application packages are available in NIH Fellowship funding opportunity announcements, as posted in the NIH Guide. The PHS 416-1 should NOT be used for any fellowship application being prepared for submission dates in August, 2009 and beyond. Individual Fellowship applications previously submitted on paper and being resubmitted as resubmission applications must be submitted electronically.
